Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, I thrive supporting organisations to create safe, happy and productive environments.
I’ve always tended to lean towards the less conventional side of health and safety - social care, outdoors and waterways, not-for-profits, and eco-businesses.
I like the challenge of the sectors I work within. It’s rare that you can simply apply health and safety legislation off the page and I enjoy problem solving. In particular, the charity and education sectors face resourcing and time pressures that you don’t tend to see in the private sector – this requires careful consideration and management.
Alongside health and safety, sustainability is my passion and this is reflected in the values and activities of Buzz Safety and we strive to be a business for good in all that we do.
Buzz Safety was founded in 2016 after an extensive career in health and safety management for both public and private sector companies. I’m a lifelong learner, with a Masters degree in Occupational Health and Safety, and am also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
In November 2023, Buzz Safety began working towards achieving B Corp certification and we are continuously working to improve the sustainability of the business and the impact with we have both on society and the environment
